
Dr. Benitez has been a noted speaker nationally and internationally in the field of dental implants and tissue regeneration. For the last 15 years, he participated as an associate professor for periodontology and implantology at the University of Puerto Rico and has kept himself a vanguard in his profession with the inclusion of the latest dental advances and technology, such as guided bone regeneration and the utilization of platelets (PRGF) to enhance healing and regeneration. He is currently on the adjunct faculty in the department of periodontology at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a past president of the Puerto Rico Periodontal Association and has been an active collaborator in the coordination of several congresses as well. He is a member of the American Dental Association®, the American Academy of Periodontology, the International Academy of Periodontology and the North Carolina Dental Society, and he is a fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy (international dental honor organization). Dr. Benitez is committed to providing his patients with personalized and comfortable dental care in a relaxed environment with the optimal multidisciplinary periodontal services available.
Dr. Benitez is married to his beautiful wife, Patsy, and is a full-time father of three children. He enjoys tennis, golf, snow skiing and all kinds of water sports.
